Sit! Please.

Yes! The kitchen is still a work in progress........ Now it is the "minor" details that are keeping me from declaring it FINISHED!

The latest addition are these bar stools. We extended the island counter on 2 sides to accomidate stools for a 3 kids. I wanted the stools to fit under the counter and not take up any extra floor space when not in use. I found these beauties at Bed Bath and Beyond for just over $20 each with all coupons.
Then I started seeing typography on chairs and stools all over blogland. Check out this post by Wendy at the Shabby Nest for great examples and inspiration. Most folks research different styles and fonts...not me! I bought what was on clearance at Hobby Lobby! Lucky for me the letters were gold to match my new counter! Lucky find!

Now each child has their own stool with their initial. L.O.T. No more fighting over who sits where. Oh! Who am I kidding....there will still be fighting!

Now if I could just get the island cleaned off to the point that there is room for the kids!

  2. I am so loving the numbers and letters on chairs, barstools, etc... Too bad none of my chairs for my dining room or kitchen have large enough areas to indule myself. I love your ideas.
