Summer Fun

I remember at the end of last summer wondering what we had done while school was out. Now with graduate school continuing through the summer, we needed a plan. I found several Summer Fun lists around blogland and decided it was a great idea to really SEE what we have done this summer. So the kids help make the list and we have been checking them off all summer.
Each child was assigned a color for the activites they chose. Luckily, my kids are pretty practical and chose easy (and cheap) things to do. This only proves that kids can be happy with the simpliest things...like eat ice cream.

The chalkboard I made here from a antique store find. The markers are chalk markers from Hobby Lobby.

The Hat You Choose

Most of my laundry remodel is done but not enough for a "big reveal"! However, the other day I was doing laundry and noticed what was hanging on each of the kids' hooks. Their hats reveal how very different they are...

Olivia with her sporty visor.

Lola with her fashionable hat and personalized purse.

Did these kids really come from the same parents?!

Take It Up

I have a two story foyer and this is my inspiration for how to fill some of the height...

The paint is drying so I'll be back to show you how it turned out.
