Summer Fun

I remember at the end of last summer wondering what we had done while school was out. Now with graduate school continuing through the summer, we needed a plan. I found several Summer Fun lists around blogland and decided it was a great idea to really SEE what we have done this summer. So the kids help make the list and we have been checking them off all summer.
Each child was assigned a color for the activites they chose. Luckily, my kids are pretty practical and chose easy (and cheap) things to do. This only proves that kids can be happy with the simpliest things...like eat ice cream.

The chalkboard I made here from a antique store find. The markers are chalk markers from Hobby Lobby.

  15. I'm slightly older than your kids but we still have trouble finding ways to entertain ourselves as a family during the summer. With us having such a big family and us all having completely different interests, its hard to find things we all love on a low budget. Now looking at this, I realize how easy it could have been all along. Can't wait till the next summer holidays now! xxx
